Welcome!
I am Brittany Elyse, here's a little bit of background on who I am and why I started this blog, as well as my YouTube channel. I have loved baking since I was a child watching my mom bake for the holidays and even started making small simple desserts by myself. As I got older I began getting more interested in the decorative process of cakes and cupcakes. So, I bought books and watched videos to learn these skills, and gradually got into playing with recipes. I never intended to work in pastries, I went to film school and had a job in media production, but the company went south and I ended up as a baking assistant at a NYC Vegan restaurant. Which was a new skill I had to learn not only baking but, baking with all new ingredients and testing to see what substitutions worked the best. I am so excited to share the things I have learned and learn new things along the way!
The other aspects of my blogs will stem from the same place as my love of baking. My love of decor and lifestyle comes from decorating my moms house for holidays mainly Christmas and Halloween. I suppose the fact I started developing my baking skills because I wanted to decorate cupcakes for holidays should not come as a surprise. I will be detailing all projects I am working on, any decor I design or put together as well as where to get things and how to do it. I am so excited to share all of this with you from baking to decor and maybe a few thing in between!
